Adaptive play
Same session.
Every player.
FSL's sessions are adaptive by design: every drill and lesson will have an adapted version, so players with disabilities take part in the same session as everyone else. FSL doesn't run separate adaptive events.
Adaptive by design
How it will work
Side by side, not set apart
Players with disabilities take part in the same session, with the same group, as everyone else. Inclusion is the default, not the accommodation.
Adapt the game, not the standard
What changes is the equipment, the pacing, the rules of a drill or the way a play is called, fitted to each player's ability, not just their age. What doesn't change is how seriously we take each player.
Every lesson, not just the sport
The money, AI and handling-pressure work will have adapted versions too, so every player will leave with their own stat sheet and money plan.
Coaches trained for it
Inclusive-practice training will be part of how FSL prepares its coaches, alongside the background check and child-abuse reporting training every coach will complete before working with kids.
No extra cost
Families never pay, here exactly as everywhere else.
Planned with families
Before the sessions start, we'll plan with each family and the program's staff: what works, what doesn't, and what a good day looks like for their kid.
For adaptive-sports programs
Your program could be a pilot site
Adaptive-sports programs and day programs are natural partner sites. If your program serves young people with disabilities in South LA or Inglewood, we'd like to talk about the 2027 pilot. Programs for adults with disabilities are our next step after the pilot, once our board approves it: tell us about yours too.
