For youth programs

Bring it to
your program

We'll bring a complete session: two trained coaches, FSL laptops, the playbook and every family form. You keep your players, your court and your schedule.

The 2027 pilot

We're choosing a first pilot site

We're choosing a partner program for a 2027 pilot in South LA and Inglewood. After-school programs, rec centers, clubs and adaptive programs in Crenshaw, Leimert Park, Watts, South Central and Inglewood can ask to be the pilot site.

  • A complete session

Two trained, screened college coaches, FSL laptops, a written playbook and every family form, in Spanish and English.

  • Your players, your schedule

You keep your players, your court and your schedule. It will add money and AI skills without adding a class: players come for the game.

  • A report for your funders

A short report after the pilot: attendance, sessions run and what players built. It's yours to share with your own funders.

  • Families never pay

Grants, donors, partner programs and public programs will pay for the sessions, never your families. We'll talk through funding for your site with you.

What we ask

What your program brings

  • One room or court

    Wherever your players already play.

  • One weekly time slot

For up to six weeks, at a time your players are already on site.

  • 10–15 players

For the 2027 pilot: ages 10–17, from the young people you already serve.

  • Your staff in the room

Your own staff will stay with your players for every session.

How a session works

Every session, three parts

Up to six sessions of 45 to 60 minutes. Two trained, screened college coaches will lead each one, with the program's own staff in the room.

  • 01

    Play

The sport comes first: whatever the program already plays.

  • 02

    Track

Players log their numbers in their own stat tracker: makes, misses, reps and times.

  • 03

    Plan

15 to 20 minutes on money, AI or handling pressure, built from the players' own numbers: a budget, a deal, a prediction to check.

Youth safety

The rules every session will follow

  • Screened adults

Before working with kids, every FSL coach and volunteer will pass a California DOJ background check and child-abuse reporting training.

  • Never alone

At least two screened adults at every session, with the program's own staff in the room, and no adult alone with a child out of sight of others.

  • No AI accounts

No child opens an AI account, and no child's name, face or personal information goes into any AI tool. Kids under 13 use AI only on FSL laptops with no internet connection, or watch a demo an adult runs.

  • Written permission

Written permission from a parent or guardian to take part, for AI activities and, separately, for any photo.

  • Skills, not therapy

Coaches will teach skills for handling pressure, not counsel. If a child needs more help, they'll bring in the program's own staff, and anyone can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

  • Nothing to sell

We never send kids to any company, and we take no referral money.

Tell us about your program

A few questions about your players and your site. We'll email you to set up a call.

Do you already run a money or financial-literacy curriculum?
Does your site carry general liability insurance?
How many of your families prefer Spanish?

The insurance question starts a conversation. It isn't a promise about whose policy covers what.
