For families
Families
never pay
Your kids will play first, then learn to handle money, use AI with good judgment and handle pressure. It will cost your family nothing, every adult will be screened, and it will happen at a program they already go to.
Before you say yes
What families ask
Who we are
A Los Angeles nonprofit, founded in 2025 by a coach, PE teacher and financial coach.
No cost to families
No fees and no tryouts.
Spanish and English
Permission slips, forms, materials and updates will come in both languages.
No stars required
Every skill level is welcome, and kids who would rather not play can be the team's analyst.
What they make is theirs
Your kids will take home their stat sheet and the money plan they build.
You're invited too
We plan a Saturday session where you can see what your kids are learning. The last session will be open to families: each kid will show one call the AI got wrong, their stats and their plan.
Taking part
How kids join
Kids will take part through a program they already attend, so FSL can't sign a child up directly. Join the family list and we'll let you know when a pilot site is confirmed.
By age
What kids do
Ages 10–12
Sort your own shot cards to see how AI learns patterns, then catch an AI demo making mistakes. Start your own stat tracker and plan a game day on a budget. Practice handling nerves, mistakes and pressure from the crowd. Learn about the jobs behind a game day.
Ages 13–17
Build your own stat tracker under a codename, test a small AI model on FSL laptops and check its predictions. Watch AI summarize a phone plan, then check every line yourself, and learn how credit works. Explore jobs around sports and tech. Learn why what you post or film stays online.
Ages 14–17, with a parent (later)
A session on NIL (name, image and likeness) basics: how a contract works, what to ask, red flags, who signs, and how to say no when people start asking you for money. Then life after sports, from a first job and a first paycheck to a plan B. No company will be promoted.

How we keep kids safe

Screened adults
Before working with kids, every FSL coach and volunteer will pass a California DOJ background check and child-abuse reporting training.
Never alone
At least two screened adults at every session, with the program's own staff in the room, and no adult alone with a child out of sight of others.
No AI accounts
No child opens an AI account, and no child's name, face or personal information goes into any AI tool. Kids under 13 use AI only on FSL laptops with no internet connection, or watch a demo an adult runs.
Written permission
Written permission from a parent or guardian to take part, for AI activities and, separately, for any photo.
Skills, not therapy
Coaches will teach skills for handling pressure, not counsel. If a child needs more help, they'll bring in the program's own staff, and anyone can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Nothing to sell
We never send kids to any company, and we take no referral money.
